| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Arnold Reymer, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | April 6, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Arnold Reymer was born in Detroit, Michigan on | ||||||
6 | June 21, 1941; he received his Bachelor of Philosophy (Ph.B.) | ||||||
7 | from Wayne State University's experimental Monteith College in | ||||||
8 | 1965 and earned his master's degree in Sociology from Wayne | ||||||
9 | State University in 1972; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Arnold Reymer started a market research firm, | ||||||
11 | Reymer & Associates, which he ran for 20 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Arnold Reymer, as an avid reader and extensive | ||||||
13 | user of the Niles-Maine District Library, advocated for the | ||||||
14 | library's Outreach program by speaking on behalf of homebound | ||||||
15 | individuals in 2022; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Arnold Reymer loved traveling and was an | ||||||
17 | enthusiast of the arts, including music, film, theater, and | ||||||
18 | especially literature; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, In his later years, Arnold Reymer moved to Niles | ||||||
20 | to live near his daughters, Rachel and Michelle, and his |

1 | granddaughters, Lily, Elissa, and Meadow; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Arnold Reymer was an adored father and loving | ||||||
3 | grandfather, full of understanding, wit, and strong moral | ||||||
4 | values; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| ||||||
7 | Arnold Reymer and extend our sincere
condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Arnold Reymer as an expression of
| ||||||
12 | our deepest sympathy.
