SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Debra Regena Brown, who passed away on
4September 9, 2013; and
5 WHEREAS, Debra Brown was born on July 13, 1950 in Chicago;
6her parents were Eddie Brown Sr. and Pearleatha Fontella Buck;
7and
8 WHEREAS, Debra Brown received her high school diploma from
9Saint Mary's High School in Chicago in 1968; she later
10completed a year of college training at Triton College in River
11Grove; and
12 WHEREAS, Debra Brown was an employee of the United States
13Postal Service for over 17 years; she continued her employment
14at Major Jenkins SRO Facility, where she worked until her
15retirement; and
16 WHEREAS, Debra Brown was a member of Uptown Baptist Church;
17and
18 WHEREAS, Debra Brown was preceded in death by her mother;
19her daughter, Natasha Latrice Brown; her brothers, Norbert
20Brown, Esley Coleman, and Eddie Brown Jr.; and her

1great-grandson, Willie Miller Jr.; and
2 WHEREAS, Debra Brown is survived by her father; her
3stepmother, Doris Brown; her daughters, Tashona Brown, Janeen
4Brown, and Jessica Delphie; her honorary daughter, Nicole
5Greer; her sons, Wavy Brown, Lamont Brown, Ricardo Brown, and
6Paris Brown; her grandchildren, Ayana, Tashonika, Kanealya,
7Parris, DeMarion, DeMarco, and Jaylin; her sisters, Denise
8Bean, Jarrie Brown, Rosalind Buck, Monica Davis, Pearleatha
9Buck, and Marla Skinner; her brothers, Derrick Brown, Orvelle
10Brown, Curtis Buck, Tim Montgomery, and James Buck; her many
11aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sons-in-law,
12daughters-in-law, and friends; her special friend, Kenneth
13Morris; and her best friend, Wayne Townsend; therefore, be it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
16family and friends, mourn the passing of Debra Regena Brown;
17and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Debra Brown as an expression of our
20sympathy.
