| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Barbara J. Winterland of Fairbury, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on December 14, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Barbara Winterland was born in Fairbury to Andrew | ||||||
| 6 | and Edith (VanAlstyne) Steidinger on June 19, 1929; she married | ||||||
| 7 | N. E. "Hap" DeFries; she later married Glenn Winterland at | ||||||
| 8 | Immanuel Lutheran Church on December 27, 1991; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Barbara Winterland was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 10 | husband, Glenn; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Barbara Winterland is survived by her children, | ||||||
| 12 | Paul (Mary) DeFries, Jon (Brenda) DeFries, Alan (Peggy) | ||||||
| 13 | DeFries, and Maggie (George) Miller; six grandchildren; and | ||||||
| 14 | five great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 16 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 17 | Barbara J. Winterland, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 18 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 19 | further

| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
