SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Patricia Taylor Smith formerly of
McHenry, who passed away on April 4, 2017 at the age of 67; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Smith was born in Youngstown, Ohio to
James and Winifred Taylor; she graduated from Liberty High
School and attended Youngstown State University; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Smith spent most of her adult life in
McHenry; she and her husband owned and operated a local
business, Partymakers Catering, and recently retired to
Denver, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Smith was a loving wife, mother, and
grandmother; she was passionate about life and brought joy and
laughter to everyone she had the pleasure to meet; she loved
cooking, entertaining, traveling, and most of all, spending
time with her friends and family; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Smith was preceded in death by her
parents; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Smith is survived by her husband, Lloyd;
her sons, Bryan (Regina), and Michael (Pascale); her

granddaughter, Aalia; and her five siblings, Denise, Jimmy,
Julian, Maryanne, and Mike; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Patricia Taylor Smith, and extend our sincere condolences to
her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Patricia Smith as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
