2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Charles E. Gesky of Waukegan, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on October 22, 2009; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Charles "Chuck" Gesky was born January 29, 1945 in | ||||||
6 | Waukegan and married Loretta Zaker on August 31, 1973 in | ||||||
7 | Waukegan; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, He retired as a mail carrier in Waukegan three | ||||||
9 | years ago, after 30 years of service; he enjoyed golf and was a | ||||||
10 | lifelong Chicago Cubs fan; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps | ||||||
12 | having served during the Vietnam era; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard; | ||||||
14 | his parents, Karl & Agatha Gesky; his sister-in-law, Debra | ||||||
15 | Sleddens and his father-in-law, Vincent Zaker; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Charles Gesky is survived by his wife, Loretta; | ||||||
17 | his daughters, Phyllis Kozlowski and Sara (Ryan) Ames; his son, | ||||||
18 | Charles "CJ" Gesky; his grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, | ||||||
19 | Ethan, Kaylie, Jane, Ross, and "Flash"; his sisters-in-laws, | ||||||
20 | Bonnie (David) Brogan and Roberta (Steve) McKay; his |

1 | mother-in-law, Loretta Zaker; his brothers, Karl, Wayne, and | ||||||
2 | Dennis Gesky; his sisters, Marilyn Ratliff and Rose Gesky; and | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
6 | his family and friends, the passing of Charles Gesky; and be it | ||||||
