2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Patricia A. Griffin of Woodstock, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on March 15, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Patricia Griffin was born in Buffalo, New York to | ||||||
6 | Dennis and Ethel (Gilbert) Riordan on January 31, 1941; she | ||||||
7 | married John "Jack" Griffin on May 26, 1962 and graduated from | ||||||
8 | nursing school; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Patricia Griffin worked as a homemaker; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Patricia Griffin enjoyed volunteering at 1st Way | ||||||
11 | Life Center; she could often be found attending her | ||||||
12 | grandchildren's activities and was an avid fan of the Chicago | ||||||
13 | Cubs; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Patricia Griffin was preceded in death by her | ||||||
15 | parents and her husband, Jack; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Patricia Griffin is survived by her children, | ||||||
17 | Kathleen (Jeff) Diedrick, Dianne (Randy) Shute, Peter Griffin, | ||||||
18 | Teresa (Brian) Turner, and David (Selma) Griffin; her | ||||||
19 | grandchildren, Dana, Heather, and David Diedrick, Robert and | ||||||
20 | Elizabeth Shute, Keith, Rachel, Sarah, and Matthew Turner, and |

1 | Mandy Griffin; her sister, Sally (Bob) Sedor; and her nephew, | ||||||
2 | Bob (Margie) Sedor; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Patricia A. Griffin, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
