2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of George L. McMahon, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | September 29, 2020 at the age of 98; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, George McMahon was born on February 17, 1922; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, George McMahon was a resident of Burr Ridge at | ||||||
7 | the time of his passing; he also once called Brookfield and | ||||||
8 | Berwyn home; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, George McMahon was a World War II Navy Seabee, | ||||||
10 | who served in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, George McMahon was the longtime owner of McMahon | ||||||
12 | Brothers Machine Works in Cicero; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, George McMahon was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
14 | Lorraine, and his sister, Mary (Albert) Muisenga; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, George McMahon is survived by his son, Patrick M. | ||||||
16 | McMahon, and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |

2 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
