2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Michael J. "Mike" Wildman of Monticello, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on April 1, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was born in Decatur to Roger L. and | ||||||
6 | Phyllis (Huffmaster) Wildman on June 17, 1960; he graduated | ||||||
7 | from Sullivan High School in 1978, where he participated in | ||||||
8 | golf, baseball, football, and basketball; his senior year he | ||||||
9 | participated in the Illinois High School Association state | ||||||
10 | basketball tournament in Champaign; he graduated from Purdue | ||||||
11 | University in 1982 and married Dawn Vannice in August of 1982; | ||||||
12 | he married Ann Power at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Champaign | ||||||
13 | on June 16, 1990; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was a department head for The Home | ||||||
15 | Depot; he served as Monticello Township Supervisor; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was a member of the National Rifle | ||||||
17 | Association, the Purdue Alumni Association, the Piatt County | ||||||
18 | Republican Party, and St. Philomena Catholic Church in | ||||||
19 | Monticello; he enjoyed golfing, building models, and watching | ||||||
20 | old Westerns; he was a sports fan and an avid fan of the | ||||||
21 | Illini; he was also a history buff; he coached all his children | ||||||
22 | in youth sports and enjoyed watching them grow in whatever they |

2 | WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was preceded in death by his first | ||||||
3 | wife, Dawn; his father; and his grandparents; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Mike Wildman is survived by his wife, Ann Power | ||||||
5 | Wildman; his children, Patrick, Katherine, and Brandon; his | ||||||
6 | mother, Phyllis Wildman; and his brother, Chris Wildman; | ||||||
7 | therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
10 | Michael J. "Mike" Wildman and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
11 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
12 | further

13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
14 | presented to the family of Mike Wildman as an expression of our | ||||||
15 | deepest sympathy.
