2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Cynthia Charise Brown, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | April 13, 2009; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown was born on August 9, 1973 in | ||||||
6 | Chicago; her parents were Steve and Grace Brown; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown accepted Christ at an early age | ||||||
8 | under the leadership of Pastor Willie B. Jemison at Oakdale | ||||||
9 | Covenant Church, where she served as a member of the Youth | ||||||
10 | Choir and Adult Choir; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown graduated from Orr Academy High | ||||||
12 | School in 1992; she was employed with the Williams Lea Law | ||||||
13 | Firm; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown is survived by her parents; her | ||||||
15 | brothers, Steve Anthony Jr. and Fredrick LaRon; her | ||||||
16 | grandmother, Willie Mae Brooks; her nieces, Tiara and Kya; her | ||||||
17 | nephews, KeJuan and DeJuan; her loving fiance, Timothy Stokes; | ||||||
18 | and her many other relatives and friends; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown will be remembered by all who knew | ||||||
20 | and loved her as a fun-loving young woman whose friendly nature |

1 | and ever-present smile endeared her to everyone she met; | ||||||
2 | therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
5 | her family and friends, the passing of Cynthia Charise Brown; | ||||||
6 | and be it further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Cynthia Brown as an expression of | ||||||
9 | our sympathy.
