2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Dennis Michael Magee, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on December 13, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dennis Magee served with the U.S. Army 101st | ||||||
6 | Airborne Division during the Vietnam War; he served two tours | ||||||
7 | and was awarded the Bronze Star; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Dennis Magee served as a trustee for the Village | ||||||
9 | of Merrionette Park for many years and then as mayor for 25 | ||||||
10 | years; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Dennis Magee built dugouts for Little League | ||||||
12 | Baseball in Merrionette Park
and for Moraine Valley; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Dennis Magee was the beloved father of Jennifer | ||||||
14 | Bednarczyk; the loving grandfather of Nicholas, Joseph, | ||||||
15 | Madison, and Gracie Wardingley; the dear brother of Terry | ||||||
16 | (Greg) Jaspers and Tim (Lynn) Magee; the cherished son of the | ||||||
17 | late Edward and Anne (McNamara) Magee; and the loyal friend to | ||||||
18 | many; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
