| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Dennis Michael Magee, who passed away | ||||||
| 4 | on December 13, 2022; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Dennis Magee served with the U.S. Army 101st | ||||||
| 6 | Airborne Division during the Vietnam War; he served two tours | ||||||
| 7 | and was awarded the Bronze Star; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Dennis Magee served as a trustee for the Village | ||||||
| 9 | of Merrionette Park for many years and then as mayor for 25 | ||||||
| 10 | years; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Dennis Magee built dugouts for Little League | ||||||
| 12 | Baseball in Merrionette Park
and for Moraine Valley; and

| 13 | WHEREAS, Dennis Magee was the beloved father of Jennifer | ||||||
| 14 | Bednarczyk; the loving grandfather of Nicholas, Joseph, | ||||||
| 15 | Madison, and Gracie Wardingley; the dear brother of Terry | ||||||
| 16 | (Greg) Jaspers and Tim (Lynn) Magee; the cherished son of the | ||||||
| 17 | late Edward and Anne (McNamara) Magee; and the loyal friend to | ||||||
| 18 | many; therefore, be it

| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
| 20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
