2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of James Lawrence "Jim" Mateja of | ||||||
4 | Lindenhurst, who passed away on January 30, 2017 at the age of | ||||||
5 | 71; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, James Mateja married Susan L. Jeschke in Grayslake | ||||||
7 | on August 14, 1965; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, James Mateja was the founder and past President of | ||||||
9 | the Midwest Automotive Media Association; he wrote two books in | ||||||
10 | which he was the sole author, and one which he co-authored; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, James Mateja was a longtime parishioner of St. | ||||||
12 | Patrick Catholic Church in Wadsworth; he had a deep love for | ||||||
13 | his family; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, James Mateja was preceded in death by his parents, | ||||||
15 | Frank and Mary (Mesec) Mateja; his son-in-law, Christopher | ||||||
16 | Winiewicz; and his grandchildren, Peyton Mateja, and Haylie | ||||||
17 | Winiewicz; and

18 | WHEREAS, James Mateja is survived by his wife of 51 years, | ||||||
19 | Susan "The Bottle Blonde"; his "#1 Son", Brad (Lori) Mateja; | ||||||
20 | his twin daughters, "Twin #1" Gina Winiewicz, and "Twin #2" |
