SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Dan Walsh of Park Ridge, who passed away
on January 20, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Dan Walsh was born January 11, 1959; and
WHEREAS, He was active in many local organizations such as
the Indian guides with his sons, and the Indian Princesses with
his daughter; he was also very active in the St. Paul of the
Cross parish, participating in the Men's club, assisting in the
Sunday Suppers for the Needy, and many other church
organizations; and
WHEREAS, He and his wife were active in the Bear
Necessities Charity for children suffering with cancer; they
also helped out in a variety of local community organizations
ranging from sports to civic initiatives; and
WHEREAS, Dan Walsh was the beloved husband of Nancy; the
loving father of Jack, Brendan, Connor, and Chloe; the dearest
son of Marjorie and the late Thornhill Walsh; the fond brother
of Patty Walsh, Michael (Barb), Heidi (Terry) Rielly, Jeanne
(Bill) Dinker, and David (Terry); as well as the proud uncle of
many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
his family and friends, the passing of Dan Walsh; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Dan Walsh as a symbol of our sincere
sympathy.
