| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Sandra J. "Sandy" Connor of Springfield, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on January 8, 2011; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, She was born March 10, 1945 in Springfield, the | ||||||
| 6 | daughter of Harold J. and Neanetta Conroy Smith; she married | ||||||
| 7 | Charles "Jack" Connor in Springfield in 1964; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, She worked for Pease's Candy and then as a | ||||||
| 9 | custodian for the State of Illinois Senate for 18 years; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, She loved fishing, traveling, gambling, Elvis, | ||||||
| 11 | and her dogs; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, | ||||||
| 13 | William E. Connor; her brother, Harold Martin Smith; her | ||||||
| 14 | nephew, Brian J. Phillips; and her beloved dog, Chico; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Sandra Connor is survived by her husband, Charles | ||||||
| 16 | "Jack" Connor; her son, John (wife, Kimberlee) Connor; her | ||||||
| 17 | grandchildren, Jonathan English, John Matthew "Matt" Connor, | ||||||
| 18 | and Gabrielle "Gabbi" Connor; her sister, Karen (husband, | ||||||
| 19 | Richard) Phillips; her brothers, Ronald (wife, Donna) Smith and | ||||||
| 20 | Edward (wife, Deborah) Smith; her sister-in-law, Mary Smith; | ||||||

| 1 | and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 4 | her family and friends, the passing of Sandra Connor; and be it | ||||||
| 5 | further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to the family of Sandra Connor as a symbol of our | ||||||
| 8 | sincere sympathy.
