| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of
Sharon Ann Pikrone of Elburn, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on December 9, 2008; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Sharon Ann Pikrone was born in Minneapolis; she | ||||||
6 | moved with her family to Chicago's Galewood neighborhood on the | ||||||
7 | West Side when she was eight years old; after graduating from | ||||||
8 | Steinmetz High School, she attended the School of the Art | ||||||
9 | Institute of Chicago, where she studied sculpting; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, In 1964, Sharon Ann Pikrone married her husband, | ||||||
11 | Bob; together, they had three daughters; the couple lived with | ||||||
12 | their children in Oak Park before moving to Elburn 20 years | ||||||
13 | ago; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, For more than 20 years, Sharon Ann Pikrone was a | ||||||
15 | frequent exhibitor at art fairs throughout the country, where | ||||||
16 | she was often awarded Best of Show; her watercolor paintings | ||||||
17 | were lauded for their detail, delicacy, and intensity of color; | ||||||
18 | and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Sharon Ann Pikrone is survived by her loving | ||||||
20 | husband, Bob; her daughters, Gayle Richardson, Christy | ||||||
21 | Talbert, and Deanne Slapa; her brother, Bruce Sanfillippo; and |

| |||||||
1 | her seven grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
4 | her family and friends, the passing of Sharon Ann Pikrone; and | ||||||
5 | be it further
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Sharon Ann Pikrone as an expression | ||||||
8 | of our sympathy.
