Bill Title: Amends the Railroad Police Act. Provides that whenever a shipment of firearms, explosives, or other weapons is reported as stolen or missing to the railroad police force, the railroad police force shall report all information regarding the incident to local law enforcement, including the municipal police, the County Sheriff, and the Department of State Police.

SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
610 ILCS 80/5 new

Amends the Railroad Police Act. Provides that whenever a shipment of firearms, explosives, or other weapons is reported as stolen or missing to the railroad police force, the railroad police force shall report all information regarding the incident to local law enforcement, including the municipal police, the County Sheriff, and the Department of State Police.

1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Railroad Police Act is amended by adding
5 Section 5 as follows:
6 (610 ILCS 80/5 new)
7 Sec. 5. Stolen or missing firearms, explosives, or other
8 weapons. Whenever a shipment of firearms, explosives or other
9 weapons is reported as stolen or missing to the railroad police
10 force, the railroad police force shall report all information
11 regarding the incident to local law enforcement, including, but
12 not limited to, the municipal police, the County Sheriff, and
13 the Department of State Police.
