SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
625 ILCS 10/15

Amends the Motor Vehicle Theft Reporting Act. Provides that for each day after the discovery that a motor vehicle in possession of a motor vehicle repair station has been stolen, and a report has not been made to a police department or sheriff's department, shall be a separate violation.

1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Motor Vehicle Theft Reporting Act is amended
5by changing Section 15 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 10/15)
7 Sec. 15. Penalty. A person who violates Section 10 of this
8Act is guilty of a business offense and shall be fined not less
9than $501 and not more than $1,000.
10 Each day after the discovery that the motor vehicle in
11which the report is not made to the police department or
12sheriff's department shall be a separate violation.
