Bill Title: Amends the Local Governmental and Governmental Employees Tort Immunity Act. Provides that a local public entity is not liable for the bodily injury or death of a driver or passenger in a stolen vehicle if the plaintiff was, during the course of the alleged negligence, in flight or fleeing apprehension during the commission of the offense of fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer or aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer. Effective immediately.

Amends the Local Governmental and Governmental Employees Tort Immunity Act. AN ACT concerning civil law.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Local Governmental and Governmental
Employees Tort Immunity Act is amended by adding Section
2-109.5 as follows:
(745 ILCS 10/2-109.5 new)
Sec. 2-109.5. Injury or death caused by fleeing or
attempting to elude peace officer in stolen vehicle. A local
public entity is not liable for the bodily injury or death of a
driver or passenger in a stolen vehicle if the plaintiff was,
during the course of the alleged negligence, in flight or
fleeing apprehension during the commission of the offense of
fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer or aggravated
fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
