Bill Title: Amends the Election Code. Creates the Election Administration Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides that all fees and penalties paid to the State Board of Elections shall be deposited into the Fund for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the State Board of Elections. Makes conforming changes in the State Finance Act. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning elections.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding Section
1A-60 as follows:
(10 ILCS 5/1A-60 new)
Sec. 1A-60. Election Administration Fund. The Election
Administration Fund is hereby created as a special fund in the
State treasury. All fees and penalties paid to the State Board
of Elections shall be deposited into the Fund for the ordinary
and contingent expenses of the State Board of Elections.
Section 10. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
Section 5.930 as follows:

Sec. 5.930. Election Administration Fund.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
