1 AN ACT concerning gaming.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975 is amended
5by changing Section 3.29 as follows:
6 (230 ILCS 5/3.29)
7 Sec. 3.29. Advance deposit wagering. "Advance deposit
8wagering" means a method of pari-mutuel wagering in which an
9individual may establish an account, deposit money into the
10account, and use the the account balance to pay for pari-mutuel
11wagering authorized by this Act. An advance deposit wager may
12be placed in person at a wagering facility or from any other
13location via a telephone-type device or any other electronic
14means. Any person who accepts an advance deposit wager who is
15not licensed by the Board as an advance deposit wagering
16licensee shall be considered in violation of this Act and the
17Criminal Code of 2012. Any advance deposit wager placed in
18person at a wagering facility shall be deemed to have been
19placed at that wagering facility.
