| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2621

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2621, AS AMENDED, | ||||||
| 3 | with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. | ||||||
| 4 | 3, on page 36, by inserting immediately below line 25 the | ||||||
| 5 | following: | ||||||
| 6 | "Eligible inmates for an award of sentence credit under
| ||||||
| 7 | this paragraph (3) may be selected to receive the credit at
the | ||||||
| 8 | Director's or his or her designee's sole discretion.
| ||||||
| 9 | Consideration may be based on, but not limited to, any
| ||||||
| 10 | available risk-assessment analysis on the inmate, any history | ||||||
| 11 | of conviction for violent crimes as defined by the Rights of | ||||||
| 12 | Crime Victims and Witnesses Act, facts and circumstances of the | ||||||
| 13 | inmate's holding offense or offenses, and the potential for | ||||||
| 14 | rehabilitation."; and

| 15 | on page 40, by replacing lines 14 through 20 with the | ||||||
| 16 | following: | ||||||
| 17 | "foregoing offenses. No inmate shall be eligible for the
| ||||||

| 1 | additional good conduct credit under this paragraph (4) who (i) | ||||||
| 2 | has previously
received increased good conduct credit under | ||||||
| 3 | this paragraph (4) and has
subsequently been convicted of a
| ||||||
| 4 | felony, or (ii) has previously served more than one prior | ||||||
| 5 | sentence of
imprisonment for a felony in an adult correctional | ||||||
| 6 | facility.".
