AN ACT concerning State government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Governor's Office of Management and Budget
Act is amended by adding Section 7.6 as follows:
(20 ILCS 3005/7.6 new)
Sec. 7.6. Governmental Transparency Task Force.
(a) The Governmental Transparency Task Force is hereby
created for the purpose of developing a plan to make the State
budgeting process the most transparent, publicly-accessible
budgeting process in the nation.
(b) The Governmental Transparency Task Force shall consist
of the following 16 members:
(1) four members appointed by the Governor;
(2) two members appointed by the President of the
Senate;
(3) two members appointed by the Minority Leader of the
Senate;
(4) two members appointed by the Speaker of the House
of Representatives;
(5) two members appointed by the Minority Leader of the
House of Representatives;
(6) one member from an organization that represents
