AN ACT concerning the legislature.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The General Assembly Operations Act is amended
by adding Section 15 as follows:
(25 ILCS 10/15 new)
Sec. 15. Task forces; create by law.
(a) "Task force" means a group of individuals (i) that may
include as a member an individual who is not a member of the
General Assembly and (ii) for which State funds would need to
be expended to accomplish its purpose.
(b) The General Assembly may create a task force only by
law and not by resolution or joint resolution.
