SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
25 ILCS 10/15 new

Amends the General Assembly Operations Act. Provides that the General Assembly may create a task force only by law, and not by resolution or joint resolution, if the task force may have a member who is not a member of the General Assembly and would require the expenditure of State funds to accomplish its purpose.

1 AN ACT concerning the legislature.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The General Assembly Operations Act is amended
5by adding Section 15 as follows:
6 (25 ILCS 10/15 new)
7 Sec. 15. Task forces; create by law.
8 (a) "Task force" means a group of individuals (i) that may
9include as a member an individual who is not a member of the
10General Assembly and (ii) for which State funds would need to
11be expended to accomplish its purpose.
12 (b) The General Assembly may create a task force only by
13law and not by resolution or joint resolution.
