Bill Title: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Adds, to the circumstances under which endangering the life or health of a child is a Class 3 felony for which the person, if sentenced to a term of imprisonment, shall be sentenced to a term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years, the following: that the violation is the proximate cause of great bodily harm or permanent disability or disfigurement of the child; or that the violation occurs while the person is committing or attempting to commit another offense that is a felony or a Class A misdemeanor. Effective immediately.

AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1666
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1666 on page 2,
3line 1, by replacing ":(i)" with ": (i)"; and
4on page 2, by replacing lines 4 and 5 with the following:
5"is committing or attempting to commit another offense that
6includes felony unlawful use of weapons, aggravated discharge
7of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of
8metal piercing bullets, unlawful sale or delivery of firearms
9on the premises of any school, disarming a police officer,
10armed violence, felony contributing to the criminal
11delinquency of a juvenile, possession of more than 30 grams of
12cannabis, manufacture of more than 10 grams of cannabis,
13cannabis trafficking, delivery of cannabis on school grounds,
14unauthorized production of more than 5 cannabis sativa plants,
15unauthorized manufacture or delivery of controlled substances,
16controlled substance trafficking, manufacture, distribution,
17or advertisement of look-alike substances, calculated criminal

1drug conspiracy, streetgang criminal drug conspiracy, delivery

3persons under age 18, or at truck stops, rest stops, or safety

6or look-alike substances, delivery of controlled substances,
7sale or delivery of drug paraphernalia, felony possession,
8sale, or exchange of instruments adapted for use of a
9controlled substance, methamphetamine, or cannabis by
10subcutaneous injection, or any violation of the
11Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act, is a
12Class 3 felony for which".
