Bill Text: IL SB1666 | 2011-2012 | 97th General Assembly | Amended
Bill Title: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Adds, to the circumstances under which endangering the life or health of a child is a Class 3 felony for which the person, if sentenced to a term of imprisonment, shall be sentenced to a term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years, the following: that the violation is the proximate cause of great bodily harm or permanent disability or disfigurement of the child; or that the violation occurs while the person is committing or attempting to commit another offense that is a felony or a Class A misdemeanor. Effective immediately.

| 4 | on page 2, by replacing lines 4 and 5 with the following: | ||||||

| 6 | includes felony unlawful use of weapons, aggravated discharge | ||||||
| 7 | of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of | ||||||
| 8 | metal piercing bullets, unlawful sale or delivery of firearms | ||||||
| 9 | on the premises of any school, disarming a police officer, | ||||||
| 10 | armed violence, felony contributing to the criminal | ||||||
| 11 | delinquency of a juvenile, possession of more than 30 grams of | ||||||
| 12 | cannabis, manufacture of more than 10 grams of cannabis, | ||||||
| 13 | cannabis trafficking, delivery of cannabis on school grounds, | ||||||
| 14 | unauthorized production of more than 5 cannabis sativa plants, | ||||||
| 15 | unauthorized manufacture or delivery of controlled substances, | ||||||
| 16 | controlled substance trafficking, manufacture, distribution, | ||||||
| 17 | or advertisement of look-alike substances, calculated criminal | ||||||

| 1 | drug conspiracy, streetgang criminal drug conspiracy, delivery | ||||||
| 2 | of controlled, counterfeit, or look-alike substances to | ||||||

| 5 | employing persons under 18 to deliver controlled, counterfeit, | ||||||
