Bill Title: Amends the Juvenile Drug Treatment Act. Provides that the drug court treatment program may also, subject to the approval of the Chief Judge of the Circuit, establish a program for electronic monitoring of juveniles with regard to drug-related and alcohol-related offenses. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning courts.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Juvenile Drug Court Treatment Act is amended
5by adding Section 40 as follows:
6 (705 ILCS 410/40 new)
7 Sec. 40. Electronic monitoring. The drug court program may
8also, subject to the approval of the Chief Judge of the
9Circuit, establish a program for electronic monitoring of
10juveniles with regard to drug-related and alcohol-related
11offenses.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13becoming law.
