1 | AN ACT concerning employment.
| |||||||||||||||||||
2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
4 | Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | changing Section 1701 as follows:

7 | Sec. 1701.
Rules and
and
regulations. | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | General and special rules may be adopted, amended, or | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | rescinded by the
Director only after public hearing or | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | opportunity to be heard thereon, of
which proper notice has | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | been given. General rules shall become effective
ten days after | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | filing with the Secretary of State and publication in one or
| |||||||||||||||||||
13 | more newspapers of general circulation in this State. Special | |||||||||||||||||||
14 | rules shall
become effective ten days after notification to or | |||||||||||||||||||
15 | mailing to the last
known address of the individuals or | |||||||||||||||||||
16 | concerns affected thereby. Regulations
may be adopted, | |||||||||||||||||||
17 | amended, or rescinded by the Director and shall become
| |||||||||||||||||||
18 | effective ten days after filing with the Secretary of State, | |||||||||||||||||||
19 | and such
filing shall be public notice of such regulation, | |||||||||||||||||||
20 | amendment thereto, or
rescission thereof, as the case may be.
