1 | AN ACT concerning regulation.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
4 | Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | changing Section 4.4 as follows:

7 | Sec. 4.4.
For the
the purposes of background investigations | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | authorized in
this Act, "license applicant" means the operator | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | or person with direct
responsibility for daily operation of the | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | facility to be licensed. In the
case of facilities to be | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | operated in a family home, the Department may, by
rule, require | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | that other adult residents of that home also authorize such
