2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Marian Catholic High | ||||||
4 | School Women's Volleyball Team, the Spartans, on winning the | ||||||
5 | 2016 Illinois High School Association Class 3A State | ||||||
6 | Championship; and

7 | WHEREAS, The Spartans captured the championship by beating | ||||||
8 | their East Suburban Catholic Conference rivals, the defending | ||||||
9 | State champion Marian Central Hurricanes, at Illinois State | ||||||
10 | University's Redbird Arena on November 12, 2016; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, The Spartans compiled a record of 32 wins and nine | ||||||
12 | losses on their way to the championship; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, The Spartans are coached by Ryan Summers; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, The Spartans are Brittany Grooms, Rachel | ||||||
15 | Churilla, Jordan Piekarski, Nailah Jones, Jaya Hall, Temilade | ||||||
16 | Adekoya, Ashley Sledge, Brittany Barlage, Lauren Hatch, Rose | ||||||
