| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Eugene | ||||||
| 4 | Jones, who passed away on April 9, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Eugene Jones joined the United States Army on | ||||||
| 6 | September 15, 1958; during basic training, he became a 1st and | ||||||
| 7 | 2nd Class Gunner and a Sharpshooter; while serving in Germany | ||||||
| 8 | as a Specialist 4, he was injured in the line of duty; he | ||||||
| 9 | received an honorable discharge from the military on May 9, | ||||||
| 10 | 1961; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Eugene Jones earned his GED while serving in | ||||||
| 12 | Germany; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Eugene Jones was employed with the Cook County | ||||||
| 14 | Department of Corrections from 1970 until his retirement in | ||||||
| 15 | 1992; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Eugene Jones is survived by his wife, Marsha F. | ||||||
| 17 | Jones; his children, Kym, Kelly, George, and Percy; his 22 | ||||||
| 18 | grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be | ||||||
| 19 | it

| 20 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||

| 1 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 2 | mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Eugene | ||||||
| 3 | Jones; and be it further

| 4 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 5 | presented to the family of Eugene Jones as an expression of our | ||||||
| 6 | sympathy.
