| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Eugene | ||||||
4 | Jones, who passed away on April 9, 2010; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Eugene Jones joined the United States Army on | ||||||
6 | September 15, 1958; during basic training, he became a 1st and | ||||||
7 | 2nd Class Gunner and a Sharpshooter; while serving in Germany | ||||||
8 | as a Specialist 4, he was injured in the line of duty; he | ||||||
9 | received an honorable discharge from the military on May 9, | ||||||
10 | 1961; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Eugene Jones earned his GED while serving in | ||||||
12 | Germany; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Eugene Jones was employed with the Cook County | ||||||
14 | Department of Corrections from 1970 until his retirement in | ||||||
15 | 1992; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Eugene Jones is survived by his wife, Marsha F. | ||||||
17 | Jones; his children, Kym, Kelly, George, and Percy; his 22 | ||||||
18 | grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be | ||||||
19 | it

20 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

1 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
2 | mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Eugene | ||||||
3 | Jones; and be it further

4 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
5 | presented to the family of Eugene Jones as an expression of our | ||||||
6 | sympathy.
