| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate James Thomas Pioth of Oak | ||||||
| 4 | Forest on the occasion of his induction into the Senior | ||||||
| 5 | Illinois Hall of Fame; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Senior Illinois Hall of Fame was initiated by | ||||||
| 7 | the General Assembly in 1994 to commemorate the achievements | ||||||
| 8 | and contributions of
citizens age 65 or older; inductees are | ||||||
| 9 | selected through a statewide nomination and judging process; | ||||||
| 10 | the program targets candidates in the
areas of community | ||||||
| 11 | service, education, the work force, and the | ||||||
| 12 | graphic/performance arts; 98 people have been inducted into the | ||||||
| 13 | Hall, including the 2015 inductees; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, James Pioth has worked close to 50 years for the | ||||||
| 15 | Oak Forest Fire Department; he started out as a junior | ||||||
| 16 | firefighter and soon became a full-time firefighter; early in | ||||||
| 17 | his career, he found a strong interest in the fire | ||||||
| 18 | investigation unit; he was a founding member of the fire | ||||||
| 19 | investigation team and was instrumental in establishing a | ||||||
| 20 | yearly investigative training program; he is a decorated | ||||||
| 21 | firefighter who continues to contribute to the Oak Forest Fire | ||||||
| 22 | Department and serve the residents of Oak Forest; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Each year, winners are inducted into the Senior | ||||||
| 2 | Illinois Hall of Fame during a special ceremony; therefore, be | ||||||
| 3 | it

| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 5 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 6 | congratulate James Thomas Pioth of Oak Forest on his induction | ||||||
| 7 | into the Senior Illinois Hall of Fame; and be it further
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 9 | presented to James Pioth as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
| 10 | respect.
