2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Frank and Cynthia | ||||||
4 | Moscowitz on the occasion of their 80th birthdays and their | ||||||
5 | 57th wedding anniversary; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Frank Moscowitz was born on February 14, 1930, in | ||||||
7 | Chicago; he attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated from | ||||||
8 | Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim in Brooklyn, New York and Roosevelt | ||||||
9 | University in Chicago; he served his country with pride and | ||||||
10 | distinction as a member of the United States Armed Forces in | ||||||
11 | Germany from 1947 to 1948; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Moscowitz was born on November 18, 1929, | ||||||
13 | in Chicago; she attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated | ||||||
14 | from Purdue University; she served her country with pride and | ||||||
15 | distinction as a member of the United States Armed Forces in | ||||||
16 | Germany from 1947 to 1948; and

17 | WHEREAS, Frank and Cynthia Moscowitz have both had long and | ||||||
18 | distinguished careers in education; Frank served as a teacher | ||||||
19 | at Boone School in Chicago from 1952 to 1969 and as a Hebrew | ||||||
20 | teacher at Congregation Agudas Chabad, Congregation Mishne | ||||||
21 | Ugumorah, and Congregation Bnei Ruven from 1952 to 1968; he | ||||||
22 | also served as principal of Gershwin School from 1969 to 1988 |

1 | and as Principal of Secular Studies at HTC Yeshiva High School | ||||||
2 | from 1968 to 1974; Cynthia served as a teacher in the Chicago | ||||||
3 | Public School system from 1951 to 1954 and at Chase School from | ||||||
4 | 1970 to 1994; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Frank and Cynthia Moscowitz has been members of | ||||||
6 | numerous community organizations; Frank is a member of the | ||||||
7 | Chicago Principals and Administrators Association, the | ||||||
8 | National Association of School Administrators, the Lubavitch | ||||||
9 | Chabad of Illinois, and the Hapoel Hamizrachi of Chicago; | ||||||
10 | Cynthia has been a member of Neshei Chabad, the Lubavitch | ||||||
11 | Chabad of Illinois, and the Hapoel Hamizrachi of Chicago; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Frank and Cynthia Moscowitz are the parents of 4 | ||||||
13 | sons, the grandparents of 28, and the great-grandparents of 32; | ||||||
14 | therefore, be it

15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
16 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
17 | congratulate Frank and Cynthia Moscowitz on the occasion of | ||||||
18 | their 80th birthdays and their 57th wedding anniversary and | ||||||
19 | wish them happiness and good health in the future; and be it | ||||||
20 | further

21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
