| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate David Pearce of the | ||||||
| 4 | Civic Memorial Eagles wrestling team on winning the 126 pound | ||||||
| 5 | IHSA Class 2A State wrestling championship; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, David Pearce won his title on February 18, 2012 at | ||||||
| 7 | the Assembly Hall on the University of Illinois-Champaign | ||||||
| 8 | campus; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, He became the fourth wrestler in school history to | ||||||
| 10 | win a State title; he finished the season with a 26-2 record; | ||||||
| 11 | and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, It was a special victory for him, after missing | ||||||
| 13 | the first part of the season while recovering from knee | ||||||
| 14 | surgery; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, He plans to continue wrestling in college after | ||||||
| 16 | completing his senior year at Civic Memorial; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 18 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 19 | we congratulate David Pearce on winning the 126 pound Class 2A | ||||||
| 20 | State wrestling championship and wish him the best in all his | ||||||

| 1 | future endeavors; and be it further

| 2 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 3 | presented to David Pearce as a symbol of our respect and | ||||||
