HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Franklin
4B. Coffman, who passed away on January 30, 2018 in his home
5with his family by his side; and
6 WHEREAS, Frank Coffman was born in Plano to Herman Glenn
7and Martha (Brooks) Coffman Sr. on April 21, 1933; he served in
8the Korean War and was married to the former Miss Elaine Plante
9for 57 happy years; and
10 WHEREAS, Frank Coffman was a loving husband, father,
11grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be greatly missed by
12his friends and family; and
13 WHEREAS, Frank Coffman was the Secretary and Treasurer at
14Coffman Brothers' Trucks Sales, a former Kendall County Board
15Chairman, the Liquor Commissioner of Kendall County, a member
16of the Sunbeam Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. #428 in Plano, a
17lifelong supporter of the NRA, and a member of the Loyal Order
18of Moose Lodge 1016 in Sandwich; and
19 WHEREAS, Frank Coffman was preceded in death by his
20parents; his brothers, Herman "Glenn" Coffman and Erwin "Win"
21Coffman; and his sisters, Devonna "Bonnie" Thompson and Zada

2 WHEREAS, Frank Coffman is survived by his wife, Elaine
3Coffman; his children, Shellie (Williams) Hollis, Kristina
4(Michael) Mayer, and Terrence (Nicole) Coffman; his
5grandchildren, Nicholas Hollis, Joseph Mayer, Sember Hollis,
6Kalin Sollis, Samuel Mayer, Jacob Coffman, Nicholas Coffman,
7Luke Coffman, and a soon to be born great-granddaughter; his
8sister, Neva Cooley; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be
9it
10 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
12mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Frank
13Coffman; and be it further
14 RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Frank Coffman and his
15willingness to serve his community, State, and country; and be
16it further
17 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Frank Coffman as a symbol of our
19sincere sympathy and gratitude for his service.
