| 7 | WHEREAS, The Golden Apple Foundation is the leading | ||||||
| 8 | Illinois-based nonprofit committed to preparing, mentoring, | ||||||
| 9 | and honoring great educators who advance educational | ||||||
| 10 | opportunities for students, and its mission is to inspire, | ||||||
| 11 | develop, and support teacher and school leader excellence; and

| 12 | WHEREAS, The Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching | ||||||
| 13 | honors outstanding teachers who have made lasting, positive | ||||||
| 14 | effects on students' lives and school communities; and
