| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Brenda | ||||||
| 4 | Louise Davis, who passed away on September 26, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was born on April 29, 1951 in East | ||||||
| 6 | St. Louis; her parents were Odie F. George, Sr. and Marlene | ||||||
| 7 | Lofton; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was employed as a Certified Nursing | ||||||
| 9 | Assistant at the Beacon Hill Retirement Home in Downers Grove | ||||||
| 10 | and worked for many years as a caregiver; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist | ||||||
| 12 | Church of East St. Louis and was baptized at an early age; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Brenda Davis enjoyed traveling, making various | ||||||
| 14 | crafts, and her plants; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was preceded in death by her father; | ||||||
| 16 | her husband, Charles L. Davis; and her brother, Eugene "Dicky" | ||||||
| 17 | George; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was the mother of Darren L. George | ||||||
| 19 | (Laura), Carol C. Ammons (Aaron), and Svetlana "Pat" Moore; the | ||||||

| 1 | grandmother of Titianna, Aeriel, Jelani, Zharia, Charity, | ||||||
| 2 | Amir, Ebony, and Maya; the great-grandmother of Jalil; the | ||||||
| 3 | daughter of Marlene Merchant; the sister of Odie F. George, Jr. | ||||||
| 4 | (Christine), Marcia A. Bowman-Williams (Mack), Maxine Mitchell | ||||||
| 5 | (Ricky), Freda T. George-Johnson (Van), Felicia R. | ||||||
| 6 | George-Atkinson (Curtis), and Greta Hall (Charles); and the | ||||||
| 7 | aunt of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 9 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 10 | we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 11 | Brenda Louise Davis; and be it further

| 12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 13 | presented to the family of Brenda Davis as an expression of our | ||||||
