2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Gary Jury on the occasion | ||||||
4 | of his retirement from the Winnebago County Board and commend | ||||||
5 | him for his public service to the residents of Winnebago | ||||||
6 | County; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Gary Jury is the longest-serving Republican board | ||||||
8 | member; he joined the board in 2002 and made the decision to | ||||||
9 | retire in 2017; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Gary Jury's accomplishments included the | ||||||
11 | extension of Perryville Road across Illinois 173, the | ||||||
12 | rebuilding of Willowbrook Road in Roscoe, the construction of a | ||||||
13 | new jail, and the elimination of pensions for County Board | ||||||
14 | members; he was a true leader on the Operations Committee, | ||||||
15 | where he served as Chairman, and a member of the Finance | ||||||
16 | Committee; and

17 | WHEREAS, Gary Jury was tireless in his effort to improve | ||||||
18 | his community; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Gary Jury was a mentor to many and respected by | ||||||
20 | his family, friends, and colleagues; therefore, be it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
2 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
3 | congratulate Gary Jury on his successful career and retirement | ||||||
4 | from the Winnebago County Board, and we recognize his hard | ||||||
5 | work, commitment and constant drive to help his community and | ||||||
6 | neighbor; and be it further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to Gary Jury as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
