2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Lincoln Community | ||||||
4 | High School (LCHS) girls basketball team, the Lady Railers, on | ||||||
5 | winning the 2023-2024 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) | ||||||
6 | Class 3A State Championship; and

7 | WHEREAS, The LCHS girls basketball team set several IHSA | ||||||
8 | tournament records during the 2023-2024 season, including | ||||||
9 | scoring the most points in a quarter tournament at 26 points | ||||||
10 | during the first quarter, the most points in a quarter title | ||||||
11 | game at 26 points during the first quarter, and the highest | ||||||
12 | field goal percentage title game at 21/36; and

13 | WHEREAS, The LCHS girls basketball team also set several | ||||||
14 | team records throughout the 2023-2024 season, such as making | ||||||
15 | the most 3-pointers in a single game at a tied score of 14, the | ||||||
16 | most consecutive wins in a season at 38, and the most wins in a | ||||||
17 | season at 38; and

18 | WHEREAS, The LCHS girls basketball team had a highly | ||||||
19 | successful 2023-2024 season overall, being named champions of | ||||||
20 | The Morton Thanksgiving Tournament, The Peoria Holiday | ||||||
21 | Tournament, The Central State 8, Regionals, Sectionals, and | ||||||
22 | Super-Sectionals; and
