1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION | ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, In March of 2020, the State of Illinois was | ||||||
3 | ordered into a work from home posture in response to the | ||||||
4 | COVID-19 pandemic; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, The tools and processes that were put in place in | ||||||
6 | response to the pandemic began immediately to provide remote | ||||||
7 | capability to employees who were delivering a myriad of | ||||||
8 | services to Illinois residents in every corner of the State; | ||||||
9 | and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Traditionally, State employees worked almost | ||||||
11 | exclusively from the office; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Remote work has now become a permanent part of | ||||||
13 | many State jobs; therefore, be it
| ||||||
14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
15 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
16 | the Auditor General is directed to conduct a management audit | ||||||
17 | of the impact of remote work on productivity and efficacies | ||||||
18 | within State agencies; and be it further
| ||||||
19 | RESOLVED, That we direct the Auditor General to commence | ||||||
20 | this audit as soon as possible and report his findings and |

1 | recommendations upon completion in accordance with the | ||||||
2 | provisions of Section 3-14 of the Illinois State Auditing Act; | ||||||
3 | and be it further
| ||||||
4 | RESOLVED, That the Auditor General is urged to report its | ||||||
5 | findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by | ||||||
6 | December 31, 2024; and be it further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That all State agencies or other entities having | ||||||
8 | information relevant to this audit are urged to cooperate | ||||||
9 | fully and promptly with the Auditor General's Office in the | ||||||
10 | conduct of this audit; and be it further
