| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the General Assembly have passed a | ||||||
| 3 | budget that cuts $3 billion
dollars from government | ||||||
| 4 | bureaucracy, including cutting waste from every State agency; | ||||||
| 5 | and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The House of Representatives has passed cost | ||||||
| 7 | saving pension reforms; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Members of the General Assembly have cut over $100 | ||||||
| 9 | million dollars in higher
education administration costs; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, All members of the General Assembly are committed | ||||||
| 11 | to cutting waste and
streamlining State government in order to | ||||||
| 12 | ensure finite resources are spent on vital services in
| ||||||
| 13 | communities; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 15 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 16 | urge the General Assembly and the Governor to continue to work | ||||||
| 17 | to identify and cut costs of State government and save tax | ||||||
| 18 | payer dollars.
