2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Queen | ||||||
4 | Esther Tramble of Chicago, who passed away on July 8, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was born on September 10, 1960, in | ||||||
6 | Chicago to Ella Mae Haymon and Cornelius Tramble; following the | ||||||
7 | passing of her parents at a young age, she moved to Saint | ||||||
8 | Louis, Missouri, and attended Central High School; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Queen Tramble returned to Chicago and was raised | ||||||
10 | by Victoria Woods; she met Aldophus "Al" Kindle during the | ||||||
11 | Harold Washington election campaign and he recruited her to | ||||||
12 | work for the re-election campaign; they were married on October | ||||||
13 | 26, 1996; and

14 | WHEREAS, Queen Tramble volunteered and worked for the | ||||||
15 | Chicago Housing Authority for approximately 15 years in a | ||||||
16 | variety of positions that dealt with outreach services; she | ||||||
17 | loved working with children and families in public housing and | ||||||
18 | fought for programs and equal opportunities for all; she was a | ||||||
19 | tireless advocate for youth education and life advancement and | ||||||
20 | received numerous awards and certificates; she worked for a | ||||||
21 | brief time for the Express Bus Company; and

1 | WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was a member of Kingdom of Christ | ||||||
2 | Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the choir and | ||||||
3 | the usher board; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was preceded in death by her | ||||||
5 | parents; her sister, Gloria Tramble; and her brother, Irving | ||||||
6 | Tramble; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Queen Tramble is survived by her husband, Al | ||||||
8 | Kindle; her daughters, Surrebea Tramble and Chantia and Kamilah | ||||||
9 | Kindle; her sons, Darnell Johnson and Atukwe Kindle; her | ||||||
10 | sisters, Annie, Princetta, and Telecia Tramble; her brother, | ||||||
11 | Troy Tramble; her grandchildren, Mariah Perrin, Tyronnesha | ||||||
12 | Watson, Daniel Roberts Jr., and Adrian Johnson; her close | ||||||
13 | friends, Helen Bowman, Brenda Brown, Laura Bass, and Lashawn | ||||||
14 | Waiters; and a host of nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
16 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
17 | we mourn the passing of Queen Esther Tramble, and extend our | ||||||
18 | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
19 | and loved her; and be it further

20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
21 | presented to the family of Queen Tramble as an expression of | ||||||
22 | our deepest sympathy.
