| 2 | WHEREAS, Illinois State Representative Monique Davis and | ||||||
| 3 | the members of the Illinois House of Representatives recognize | ||||||
| 4 | that Mother's Day is celebrated nationally on May 10, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Every mother wants her child to succeed; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, A child's parents are the foremost authority in | ||||||
| 7 | the needs of the child; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Every day, mothers and grandmothers stand up for | ||||||
| 9 | the rights of their children and advocate for their needs; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Many of these parents and grandparents come to | ||||||
| 11 | Springfield to advocate on behalf of legislation that supports | ||||||
| 12 | their children's rights; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 14 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 15 | designate May 6, 2015 as "Moms on a Mission Day" in the State | ||||||
| 16 | of Illinois to honor mothers, grandmothers, fathers, and their | ||||||
| 17 | families who stand up for children's rights; and be it further
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, That we welcome the mothers and grandmothers | ||||||
| 19 | present at the Illinois State Capitol on May 6, 2015, | ||||||

| 1 | particularly those who are here for the first time, to join us | ||||||
| 2 | in our efforts.
