| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the East St. Louis High | ||||||
| 4 | School girls track and field team, the Flyerettes, on winning | ||||||
| 5 | the 2019 Illinois High School Association Class 2A Girls State | ||||||
| 6 | Championship; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Flyerettes scored 72 points to win the | ||||||
| 8 | championship on May 18, 2019 at O'Brien Field on the campus of | ||||||
| 9 | Eastern Illinois University in Charleston; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, This was the Flyerettes third championship and the | ||||||
| 11 | first since 2011; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, The inspiration for the Flyerettes' performance | ||||||
| 13 | was emblazoned on the back of their shirts this season, "Always | ||||||
| 14 | run through the finish line."; therefore, be it

| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 16 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 17 | we congratulate the East St. Louis High School girls track and | ||||||
| 18 | field team, the Flyerettes, on winning the 2019 Illinois High | ||||||
| 19 | School Association Class 2A Girls State Championship, and we | ||||||
| 20 | wish them many more successful years; and be it further
