| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Laurie Cvengros on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of her retirement after 24 years of dedicated service | ||||||
| 5 | as Village Clerk of the Village of Beach Park; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Laurie Cvengros has been Village Clerk of the | ||||||
| 7 | Village of Beach Park since its incorporation in 1989; she was | ||||||
| 8 | elected 6 consecutive times and has served with three different | ||||||
| 9 | mayors and 18 trustees; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, During Laurie Cvengros' tenure, the Village has | ||||||
| 11 | grown from 8,000 to more than 13,400 people; the village's | ||||||
| 12 | board meetings started out in various local schools, but are | ||||||
| 13 | now held in the beautiful Village Hall; her proudest | ||||||
| 14 | achievements have been in the areas of parks and recreation and | ||||||
| 15 | serving those with special needs; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, In 1992, Laurie Cvengros became a Certified | ||||||
| 17 | Municipal Clerk in the State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Laurie Cvengros served as Vice President and as | ||||||
| 19 | Secretary of the Lake County Municipal Clerks for 4 years; she | ||||||
| 20 | also served on the Attorney General's Recreational | ||||||
| 21 | Opportunities for People of Disabilities Task Force from 2001 | ||||||

| 1 | to 2004; and

| 2 | WHEREAS, In 2002, Laurie Cvengros received the prestigious | ||||||
| 3 | Woman of Achievement Award from the Office of the Lieutenant | ||||||
| 4 | Governor; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Following her retirement, Laurie Cvengros and her | ||||||
| 6 | husband, Andy, plan to continue to reside in the Village, | ||||||
| 7 | travel, and enjoy life; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 9 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 10 | we congratulate Laurie Cvengros on the occasion of her | ||||||
| 11 | retirement and wish her continued success and happiness in the | ||||||
| 12 | future; and be it further
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to Laurie Cvengros as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
| 15 | respect.
