2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert | ||||||
4 | Carl Lubkeman of Antioch, who passed away on February 5, 2011; | ||||||
5 | and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Robert Carl Lubkeman was born in Antioch on August | ||||||
7 | 13, 1934 and was a lifelong resident; he was the son of Arthur | ||||||
8 | and Rose Lubkeman; he graduated from Antioch Township High | ||||||
9 | School in 1952 and from Bradley University in 1956, where he | ||||||
10 | was member of Theta Chi Fraternity; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and | ||||||
12 | uncle as well as an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, | ||||||
13 | beekeeper, cook, and baker; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army and Army | ||||||
15 | Reserves where he was commissioned a First Lieutenant and | ||||||
16 | served as company commander; he spent his career as a | ||||||
17 | construction designer at the Antioch Lumber and Coal Company; | ||||||
18 | Facilities Manager of the Harris Bank and Trust Company | ||||||
19 | (Chicago); and National Facilities Manager of the A. C. Nielsen | ||||||
20 | Company (Northbrook); he was also engaged in his own business, | ||||||
21 | Lake Region Home Design; and

1 | WHEREAS, He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran | ||||||
2 | Church (Antioch), the Antioch Lions' Club, and he was a Paul | ||||||
3 | Harris Fellow of the Antioch Rotary Club; he was the charter | ||||||
4 | president of the Antioch Jaycees; and he was a member of the | ||||||
5 | Southeastern Wisconsin Beekeepers' Association; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Robert Lubkeman is survived by his wife of 53 | ||||||
7 | years, Annette (nee Erickson); his sons, Marc (Nancy) and | ||||||
8 | Matthew; his granddaughters, Britta, Erica, and Linnea | ||||||
9 | Lubkeman; his brother, Donald (Justine); his niece, Joanne Witt | ||||||
10 | (William); and his nephews, Kenneth and Lonnie; therefore, be | ||||||
11 | it

12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
13 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
14 | we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of | ||||||
15 | Robert Lubkeman; and be it further

16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
17 | presented to the family of Robert Lubkeman as a symbol of our | ||||||
18 | sincere sympathy.
