| 2 | WHEREAS, Approximately 750,000 veterans reside in the | ||||||
| 3 | State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, The citizens of the State of Illinois should | ||||||
| 5 | appreciate and honor our veterans for their patriotism, love of | ||||||
| 6 | country, and willingness to serve for the common good; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Veterans Day is celebrated each year in the United | ||||||
| 8 | States on November 11th; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, The State of Illinois has not allocated an entire | ||||||
| 10 | month of recognition for veteran members of our Armed Forces; | ||||||
| 11 | and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Illinois veterans have honorably served our | ||||||
| 13 | nation and deserve an entire month to honor, remember, and | ||||||
| 14 | appreciate them; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Veterans Appreciation Month will promote | ||||||
| 16 | awareness and education about the important role the United | ||||||
| 17 | States Armed Forces have played in the history and development | ||||||
| 18 | of our country; therefore, be it

| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||

| 1 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
