Bill Title: Proposes to amend the Bill of Rights Article of the Illinois Constitution. HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there shall be submitted to the
electors of the State for adoption or rejection at the general
election next occurring at least 6 months after the adoption
of this resolution a proposition to amend Article I of the
Illinois Constitution by changing Section 22 as follows:
ARTICLE I
BILL OF RIGHTS

SECTION 22. RIGHT TO ARMS
Subject only to the police power, the right of the
individual citizen to keep and bear arms and to carry firearms
shall not be infringed.
