Bill Title: Amends the Administration Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Requires the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to create by rule a cap formula that provides for an annual payment cap on optional services provided under the State's medical assistance program. Provides that under the cap program, if a medical assistance recipient exceeds the yearly payment cap on an optional service provided under the State's medical assistance program, the State shall not be required to reimburse the healthcare provider for any remaining costs associated with that optional service for the remainder of that fiscal year.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
5 | adding Section 12-4.45 as follows:

6 | (305 ILCS 5/12-4.45 new) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
7 | Sec. 12-4.45. Annual payment cap on optional services; | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
8 | Medicaid. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
9 | shall create by rule a cap formula that provides for an annual | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
10 | payment cap on optional services provided under the State's | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
