Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Provides that notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no prescription drug that was manufactured in a country other the United States of America may be sold within this State at a price that exceeds 135% of the price for which that drug is sold within the country in which it was manufactured.

AN ACT concerning drug prices.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act is
amended by adding Section 25.5 as follows:
(410 ILCS 620/25.5 new)
Sec. 25.5. Fair drug pricing. Notwithstanding any law to
contrary, no prescription drug that was manufactured in a
country other the United States of America may be sold within
this State at a price that exceeds 135% of the price for which
it is sold within the country in which it was manufactured.
