SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
New Act

Creates the Revenue Estimate Act. Provides that the General Assembly shall not enact any bill to appropriate funds within any fiscal year prior to its adoption of a joint resolution reflecting the estimate of funds available for that fiscal year as required under the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability Act. 1 AN ACT concerning finance.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
5Revenue Estimate Act.
6 Section 5. Passage of appropriation bills prohibited
7before adoption of joint resolution. The General Assembly
8shall not enact any bill to appropriate funds within any
9fiscal year prior to its adoption of a joint resolution
10reflecting the estimate of funds available for that fiscal
11year as required under Section 4 of the Commission on
12Government Forecasting and Accountability Act.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14becoming law.
