| 1 | AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
| ||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding | ||||||
| 5 | Section 9-119.1 as follows:

| 6 | (40 ILCS 5/9-119.1 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 9-119.1. Earned annuity. "Earned annuity": (1) The | ||||||
| 8 | annuity a participant has accrued as provided in Section 9-134, | ||||||
| 9 | disregarding minimum age and service eligibility requirements | ||||||
| 10 | and without any reduction due to age, or (2) the age and | ||||||
| 11 | service annuity as provided in Sections 9-125 through 9-128, | ||||||
| 12 | inclusive.

| 13 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
| 14 | becoming law.
