625 ILCS 5/3-806.75 new

1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding
5Section 3-806.75 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/3-806.75 new)
7 Sec. 3-806.75. Registration fees for volunteer firemen and
8emergency medical services personnel.
9 (a) Beginning with the first registration year commencing
10after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd
11General Assembly, the standard registration fee set forth in
12Section 3-806 for passenger motor vehicles of the first
13division and motor vehicles of the second division weighing
14not more than 8,000 pounds and registered under Section 3-815
15shall be waived for any Illinois vehicle owner who is a
16volunteer firefighter or emergency medical services personnel.
17 (b) This Section does not apply to the fee set forth in
18Section 3-805 for electric vehicles.
